Mindhouse Productions
Trainee Researcher
In just five years, Mindhouse Productions has quickly become one of the UK’s most exciting independent production companies. Co-founded by multi-award-winning filmmaker Louis Theroux, along with documentary-makers Arron Fellows, Nancy Strang, and Sophie Ardern, Mindhouse is renowned for producing thought-provoking and distinctive documentaries and factual programming.
A major highlight of 2024 was winning the Best Factual Series BAFTA for Lockerbie, our Sky Documentaries series about Britain’s worst terrorist attack. In the past year, we’ve also earned two BANFF Rockie Awards for Lockerbie and Gods of Tennis. Our feature documentary Tell Them You Love Me (Sky Docs) took home Best Documentary at the Hamptons Film Festival, became a hit on Sky Documentaries, and generated significant media buzz after its release on Netflix US. We have also been nominated for a Bafta for our feature documentary Tell Them You Love Me.
Beyond our high-quality content, Mindhouse is also known for being a supportive and inclusive workplace, fostering a diverse team of dedicated staff and freelancers. We were one of the first companies to sign the We Are Doc Women’s 50:50 pledge, committing to an equal split between male and female directors.
Our working hours are from 09:30 to 18:00, with one hour for lunch. Hybrid working arrangements vary by production, but typically staff spend 3-4 days a week in the Soho office and 1-2 days working from home. For example, our development team works 09:30-18:00 Monday to Thursday in the office, with Fridays spent at home.
Our office is located in the heart of Soho, just a five-minute walk from Piccadilly Circus station.
