Candour Productions

Candour Productions is a female-led, BAFTA and Grierson-winning production company based in Leeds. We specialise in premium documentary filmmaking with hard-won access and powerful storytelling. Our Founder and Creative Director, Anna Hall, is the only woman ever to be nominated in two consecutive years for Best Factual Director at the BAFTA Craft Awards. She was also honoured with the Grierson Trustees’ Award for her outstanding lifelong contribution to documentary filmmaking.

In recent years, Candour has won the 2024 Grierson Award for Best Documentary Series and the 2023 BAFTA for Best Factual Series. Our work has also earned the RTS Journalism Award, two AIBs for Best Investigation, and two Asian Media Awards for Best Factual and Best Investigation. To date, we have received seven BAFTA nominations (including one in 2025), five Grierson nominations, and further recognition from the Orwell Prizes and British Journalism Awards.

We are proud to be a hub for Northern filmmaking talent and are deeply committed to inclusion and representation. Our team members have won the TV Foundation’s Debut Director Award, the Sheffield Doc/Fest Northern Doc Pitch, and the RTS Yorkshire One to Watch Award. They’ve also been named on the Broadcast Hot Shots list in both 2023 and 2024, and Candour was recognised as one of Broadcast’s Best Places to Work in TV in 2024 and 2025.

The trainee production coordinator role will work to our core Production Management team and is expected to be working predominantly on our new Channel 4 10 part UK based police access series.

We offer flexible working, but management staff are expected to be office based and with their teams 4 days a week.
